Mathews Bow Reviews And Mathews Bows For Sale
The Z7 Xtreme fits into Mathews pattern of introducing a bow one year followed by a shorter version of the same bow the next year. The Z7 Xtreme is the short version of the Z7, the best selling Mathews bow ever. Performance wise the Xtreme and the Z7 are nearly identical. The draw cycle also feels nearly the same as the cams on both bows are almost exactly the same, one must read the label on the cam to tell the difference. Mathews made only the slightest of changes to the Xtreme cam to gain a bit more efficiency with the shorter axle length then would have been possible if they had just reused the Z7 cam.
In our shop we have had several customers claim they find the Z7 Xtreme a smoother bow then the standard Z7. Its hard to tell if that is just newest bow bias or in fact the case. We find most customers experience both bows as the same, those preferring longer axle bows are still opting for the Z7 while customers that like short bows or have no preference opt for the Z7 Xtreme. In either case everyone is extremely pleased with their purchase, Mathews z7's are simply as good as bows can get!
